By popular demand, this 8-player component pack lets you expand Lying Pirates beyond the official limit. Whether you're playing big game nights or just hate leaving someone out — this pack gives you what you need.

Why add the 8-Player Components
- Lets you play with 7 or 8 pirates at the table
- Great for game nights, events, or larger groups
- Pairs well with extra dice, coins, and bamboo cups
Cities of Greed difficulty in 8-player mode
2 players will be without city cards. 1 player will be without a city to start with.
- The 7th player (who gets a city but no city cards) starts with one bonus coin.
- The 8th player (no city and no city cards) starts with the Mayor's Die and one bonus coin.
- Both still receive Influence cards like all other players.
Perfect if you want more chaos, more bluffing, and a full table of pirates.
Optional Rules: Merchant Ships
Merchant Ships — a new function added (fan inspired — you guys are amazing). The Merchant Ships functionality will be written directly into the official rulebook.
To be able to play:
- In a 5–6-player game you'll need to buy the 8-player Add-on (included in the add-on pack, which is also found in the All-in Rewards).
- If you're playing with 4 players or fewer, use 2 of the ships not in use.
Merchant & Navy Encounters
A fan-made variant with roaming ships offering bartering or risky raids.
Setup:
- Place 1 Merchant Ship and 1 Navy Ship mini or wooden ship (or unused player ships) on random tiles on the map (not on the base tile).
Interaction rules: when you end up on a tile with either one of the ships, resolve the following after the event from the tile has been resolved.
Merchant Ship
- Barter: Buy 1 Action Card for 1 coin instead of 2.
- Raid: Roll your battle die.
- Victory — draw 1 Action Card for free OR gain 2 coins
- Merchant escapes — no reward
- You lose all your coins
Navy Ship
- Attack: Roll your battle die.
- Gain 5 coins
- Navy retreats — nothing happens
- You lose 2 crew dice
Optional twist: Navy Ship starts near the end of the route and moves backward 1 tile per round. Anyone it lands on must fight immediately.
All players can choose to activate the Merchant Ship, but all players who face the Navy MUST battle it.
