The Cities of Greed box and its components on a candlelit table with a skull and old books

Expansion for Lying Pirates

Rule the cities.

The harbors have grown rich, and rich harbors attract pirates. Every captain now rules cities of their own, and more coins pour into play than ever before.

Influence cards forge temporary alliances, then drop the bomb the moment betrayal pays better. Bar fights break out, dice towers tumble, and the Mayor's Die waits for the captain bold enough to win it into their cup.

How it plays

Greed changes everything

  • City shield standees and City cards around the Cities of Greed box

    Own the cities

    Rule and profit

Every captain rules cities of their own, marked on the map from the start. When gold flows into your city, you take your cut. The richer the table, the dirtier the fight.

  • A hand holding two Influence cards over the game table

    Forge alliances

    Then break them

35 Influence cards turn rivals into partners, for a while. Team up, split the spoils, and break your word the moment the wind turns.

  • The Watchtower and Bar Fight tiles next to cards and standees

    Start a bar fight

    Two new tiles

Two new tiles bring minigames to the map. Stack a wobbling tower of crew dice at the Watchtower, and bluff over broken bottles when a bar fight breaks out.

  • The Mayor's Die in front of the city shield standees

    Win the Mayor's Die

    Into your cup

One special die, won straight into your cup. It bends every bet that follows, and every captain at the table wants it back.

  3. 3
A little longer. A lot deeper.

Adds 15 to 20 minutes to a game. Depth jumps significantly.

Mark, The Dice Tower

Cities of Greed doesn't just add to Lying Pirates - it sharpens it. More strategy. More betrayal. And somehow, even more reason to question your friends... or at least switch seats next time.
